Transcript: Transcripts: Official Transcript Evaluation All international applicants are required to complete an official transcript evaluation. The transcript evaluation is not required for international applicants who have completed a Bachelor's degree in the United States. Transcript evaluations must be submitted to American University in lieu of the original international transcript. In order to complete a transcript evaluation, candidates must submit their official transcript(s) to a NACES approved transcript evaluation agency. Please also include a list of any awards, special recognitions, and accomplishments. Personal Statement: A statement of purpose describing your passion for public service professional growth and learning; leadership potential; and commitment to apply what is learned in the classroom in the workplace. Recommendation Letter: Two letters of recommendation attesting to your academic skills and executive potential. One of which must be from your supervisor or other professional official indicating that you have the potential to take on increased levels of responsibility and formally nominating/endorsing you for participation in the the program. Writing Sample: A sample of your written work, such as a report, memorandum, or article.
