Transcript:
An official transcript is a complete academic record of all individual courses and grades achieved at an educational institution. It must be signed by a presiding official and bear the seal or certified stamp of the issuing institution. The signature, seal and/or stamp should appear on all pages of the document. Transcripts should be submitted directly to the MBA admissions team from the issuing institution. We will only accept transcripts directly from an applicant when the transcripts are in sealed envelopes that are stamped across the sealed flap by the issuing institution. If we suspect that the envelope has been opened and resealed or otherwise tampered with, the applicant will be requested to provide another transcript issued directly from the institution to DeGroote. Unofficial transcripts may be submitted for the purpose of review, but official copies must follow.
Curriculum Vitae:
We use your resume to assess your work experience. If you are an international student or a domestic candidate applying for the full-time or accelerated options, we require one year of full-time, continuous, professional, managerial, or technical work experience. It is important to provide a complete explanation of your level of responsibility, reporting relationships, and the overall scope of your past positions. Focus on work where you have shown leadership, taken initiative or managed a project, budget, or people. Remember to outline volunteer work and extra-curricular activities as well.
Recommendation Letter:
Two letters of recommendation are required. We want to hear from people who know you and who can best testify to your abilities. It’s important to choose referees who will provide an honest evaluation of your potential for graduate study.
You can choose academic or work-related references. Preferably, at least one of your referees should be an instructor who has taught you, but we realize that in some cases candidates have lost touch with their instructors and two professional references are also acceptable.
