Transcript:
Applicants for admission to a degree program must submit an official transcript from each college attended. All University of Louisville transcripts will automatically be submitted with the completion of an application. Transcripts must be sent directly from the school to Graduate Admissions, in order to be considered official.
Applications to non-degree or certificate programs need only submit an official transcript certifying at least a bachelor's degree.
Personal Statement:
A statement of about 500 typed words detailing the applicant’s educational and professional goals in Art History.
Recommendation Letter:
Applicants to all programs must provide two current, substantive letters of recommendation specific to the program (appended to the SIGS recommendation forms) in which the applicant’s academic and/or artistic achievements and promise are discussed. Candidates normally enter the Master’s Program with the equivalent of an undergraduate degree in Studio Art, Art History, or a related field.
Writing Sample:
A writing sample (normally an advanced-level Art History paper).
