Transcript:
Applicants for admission to a degree program must submit an official transcript from each college attended. All University of Louisville transcripts will automatically be submitted with the completion of an application. Transcripts must be sent directly from the school to Graduate Admissions, in order to be considered official.
Applications to non-degree or certificate programs need only submit an official transcript certifying at least a bachelor's degree.
Personal Statement:
An artist’s statement relevant to the submitted artwork of no more than 500 typed words.A statement of no more than 500 typed words detailing the applicant's educational and professional goals in the field of Fine Arts.
Recommendation Letter:
Applicants to all programs must provide two current, substantive letters of recommendation specific to the program (appended to the SIGS recommendation forms) in which the applicant’s academic and/or artistic achievements and promise are discussed. Candidates normally enter the Master’s Program with the equivalent of an undergraduate degree in Studio Art, Art History, or a related field.
Writing Sample:
Samples of a coherent body of work represented in 15 - 20 images on CD accompanied by a typed slide list with artist's name, title of work, size, medium and year.
