Personal Statement: Personal statement Your personal statement should describe (1) previous academic work related to linguistics, (2) relevant practical experience, (3) intended specialization and/or probable research interest, and (4) career goals. It should be one to two pages in length. Recommendation Letter: Two letters of recommendation Letters of recommendation should come from persons familiar with the applicant's academic achievement and potential and should specifically address the applicant's potential for success in a graduate degree program.
